No. I have the Tamron 14/2.8 and this is one lens that flares even the sun is completely out of the frame- in one memorable instance, I got flare on an overcast day; couldn't even the see the damn sun but had flare all over the place. Makes me wish I'd saved up more and waited for that A 15/3.5 Consoling myself with the 20~35; great flare control with this lens RK
