A pro once told me that the only difference between pros and amateurs is
that pros shoot more film, but I like your way of putting it better.

So then, just the opposite of most amateurs, who pretty much _only_ want to
think about cameras and films...<g>.

Hate to keep "me too-ing," but me too. I may never have admitted this before
in so many words, but one of the many reasons I use Tri-X is that I'm not
quite so sanguine about the survival of film products as I sometimes pretend
to be. Tri-X is a fully mature product--it hasn't been changed since the
advent of the T-grain films in the '80s--plus, the emulsion is licensed
outside of Kodak. So even if Kodak decides to discontinue it one day, the
chances are pretty good that a smaller producer will pick up the slack. In
my judgment it's the black-and-white film least likely to ever go south. If
there's one thing I don't want to have to go through again, it's
standardizing on a film that gets changed--as seems to happen on a regular
basis with Ilford films, for instance--or discontinued.

Uh, me, too. (Sorry.)

That's just great. I love that. How true it is.

Climb up anytime. Thanks for the good message, Ken. Made my archives, and
that doesn't happen much.
