Hi all, I've done the Red Green filter experiment and also made a few stereo pairs:
First the stereos. They can be found at: http://personal.inet.fi/cool/don.williams/hold/pairs/pairs.htm How to view them: Hold a pencil up in front of your eyes, about two inches from the tip of your nose and focus on the point. Now move the pencil towards the screen, or away from it, until the stereo view suddenly pops up in front of your eyes. Slowly remove the pencil and you can move your eyes about the image freely. If the floating image disappears start over. To align the pairs horizontally it is necessary to tilt your head from side to side. This is critical - they have to be aligned accurately. The first pair of the untidy desktop is probably the best. The second pair might strain the eyes a bit although the stereo effect is marked. The plant is an extreme example and may be difficult to get in focus. The background - my spotted window blind - is distracting. The first pair were taken for an interpupilary distance of 66 mm the second, 80 mm the last pair are at 63 mm. Now if someone would please tell me how to superimpose two images with Photoshop, I'll set about finishing the Red Green experiment. I've tried. All I can manage is to wipe out one image with another. I know it can be done. I may have done something like it with PSP years ago, but I cannot remember how.
