This makes me realize there were a lot more lenses put out by Pentax than I realized. So is there any version that stand out as better or worse? Is it possible to say all or most ____ lenses were good? Is there a web site that has some information on the different versions? When I was active in photography new items were my only real option. We don't have much used equipment available in our area and Ebay didn't exist then. Heck I had not even heard of the internet then! How times change. I am realizing just how little I know about older Pentax lenses. Any information would be appreciated. I am waiting on my first LX. I have a deal stuck on second body just as soon as a buyer on my old Mamiya TLR outfit approves what I sent him. So I am tapped out for a while. But I am really interested in the bigger lenses. 300-500mm and at some point MAYBE a 1000mm? We hope to take an African photo safari in the next year or so.
