Yes, I was gone! I spent the last few days in Wellington taking in the sights and a couple of movies in some halfway decent theatres.
Looking at the archive, I didn't seem to miss much here :) It seems that in my hurry to get my PUG image in, I screwed up my comment. The pic was taken near the mouth of the Wairau, not the Taylor. There is no Taylor river in that area. I must have been thinking of Taylors Pass which is a good road for mountain biking on the southern side of Blenheim.
