Hi Dave,
The scan shows on my viewer program as a 1771x1799x24 BPP, which makes it closer to 900 dpi.
If your scanner program is similar to mine (Microtek 5900) then you must have applied a multiplier to the image size to obtain the desired printer output size.
You could reduce the file to 600x600 when posting to Photo.net for easier viewing.

I'm glad you are enjoying MF. It certainly rekindled the photo bug in me.

Hi all.
Finally kicked the daughter off the computer(actually went away today<g>)and tried some scans.
I believe it was Bruce Dayton(correct me if i'm wrong)who suggested to me NOT to cut the 6x6 negs but to scan the strip in the holder.
Well i tried it on a frame today,Tmax 100 from the Y-M.I scanned it using Silverfast and Negafix.I kept the scan at 300 dpi just to keep file size low to work on it faster.I scaned the 6x6 to 8x8 and printed out on the S800.Impressed even at 300 dpi.The focused part of the leaves were very crisp.
I'm impressed.Should have been playing with MF negs all along<G>
Heres a link to the scan.Fairly big file so i'll just keep it on for 24 hours then remove.
