The real difference between the AF ZX's and the ZX-M is the lack of manual
focus aids (split-image & microprism collar).  If you mostly use the matte
area of the viewfinder to focus with you won't notice much difference.  If,
however, you heavily use those aids, you might not be quite as happy
manually focusing an AF ZX body.  I just did a quick compare of my ZX-M+FA
50 1.7 to one of my ZX-10's and they handle about the same.  Just a
difference of focusing aids.
