I am. Owning a PENTAX is almost like the warm fuzzy feeling I get about my 14
year-old Doberman: we've been places together, shared memories..and venues.
He'll be gone soon but he'll have a place in my heart.
Don't mistake my buying a 67ll as a sign of blind brand loyalty.
Before I retired, I owned a CANON A-2 w/VG-10 grip, 100-400 [IS] lens, 35-350
[L] lens, a 28-70 f/2.8 lens, a 430 TTL flash-you know, a real "pro" PJ
outfit.
*I bought the A-2 just to have something to shoot the 35-350.
But when I retired, the CANON gear was the first thing I dumped on my way to
gathering funds for my 67ll and new BOGEN tripod. I still own PENTAX 35mm
gear: my trusty SUPER PROGRAM/Motor "A" rig, my early vintage PZ-1p, a cherry
K-1000 w/f/1.4 "M" lens, an AF400T and AF280T flash, both doing double duty
on the 67ll.
Do I miss the CANON gear? Yep, shooting the 35-350* lens mostly.
*Had Nikon (or anyone else) made a 35-350, I would have owned a Nikon AF body
to own the lens. It's a pity PENTAX has not kept up in the super zoom lens
department. Even Nikon has an 80-400 super zoom... but you knew that already.
I always dreamed... of shooting my trusted PZ-1p behind an autofocus PENTAX
super zoom... but, no such luck.
