It's even worse with the engine running - then you can't even
hear yourself think!

Ties in with the Mini theme quite well. The Mini was one of the
first modern mass-produced cars which was built to a price
(unfortunately not the correct one - the manufacturers allegedly
lost money on most of them!) and maybe introduced the values of
production engineering at its worst to the UK public. It is now
completely normal to buy something, use it until it is
"economically unviable" to repair and then throw it away.
Result? So much of our island is under landfill a tax on holes
in the ground had to be introduced. This is a complete failure,
as it is not high enough.
With regard to the MZ-S: I can't see a reason for buying it.
It doesn't do _anything_ I need better than the equipment I
have now. It doesn't look durable in any sense of
ecology/economy - anyone think this camera will outlast them in
normal use? (Not that I am suggesting that the ones I have now
will.....) Prime quality landfill material, I'm afraid,
although it will be way behind the digital version when it comes
to plugging gaps in the landscape.
