The setting isn't specific to Outlook (or Goatlook as my buddy calls
it). It's a "Windows wide" setting. I forget exactly where you
configure it, but it's called something like "Hide Extensions for 'Well
Known' File Types" (yes or no). I always set it to show all extensions.
I was born paranoid, and it's only gotten worse as I've experienced
more of the world. :-)
