The perfect viewfinder:
--would show maybe 110%-120% of the frame, so you could see around your
picture like you can with a rangefinder camera.
--would have a line where showing where the image is 100%.
--would have all but the center 92% slightly darkened or shaded so you could
tell where a slide mount would fall.
This is a pipe dream, of course, but it would give you full information.
