You have the nerve, without even asking for my sources, to presume that I base my
facts on what "some folks who don't like [your] political or economic system" keep on
telling me. You sarcastically advice me to "just keep believing all that stuff".
You go on, in your groundless presumptions, to call me arrogant because I according to
you have heard it "second hand".

Well, you are the one being immensely arrogant in your assumptions.

For your information, my source of information is the the U.S government itself!
(How's that for you assumptions about "people who don't like our political system" who
"keep on telling you how bad things are over here"... Sheeesh!.)

Facts are taken from data released in July 14. 1999 by U.S. Department of Agriculture
and from the U.S. Bureau of Census.

Do you at all realize that people outside the U.S. are able to read, write and think
by themselves? That we have universities where you get trained in finding and
evaluating sources of information?

(Doing Linguistics at the university I was trained in semantics, rhetorics, analysis
of arguments as well as in theories of knowledge in general. At the school of
Journalism (also at the university) I was trained in finding and critically evaluate
any sources that I want to use or that want to use me. At Law school I have been
trained even harder to critically evaluate any evidence put in front of me, be it
words, texts, pictures and what have you.)

And you call me arrogant....

Lasse
