my humble opinions on prints from slides vs negatives tend
toward the economics of the matter. I have seen wonderful
prints made from slides and wonderful prints made from negs.
I also have seen the pricelists from the quality oriented
printing labs for each. I have yet to see a potential customer
willing to pay the premium for a well-executed Ciba over a
well-executed print from a negative.
