The following errata report has been submitted for RFC8231, "Path Computation Element Communication Protocol (PCEP) Extensions for Stateful PCE".
-------------------------------------- You may review the report below and at: https://www.rfc-editor.org/errata/eid8370 -------------------------------------- Type: Technical Reported by: Samuel Sidor <ssi...@cisco.com> Section: 7.3.4 Original Text ------------- Length (16 bits): indicates the total length of the TLV in octets. The TLV MUST be zero-padded so that the TLV is 4-octet aligned. Corrected Text -------------- Length (16 bits): indicates the length of the value portion of the TLV in octets. The TLV MUST be zero-padded so that the TLV is 4-octet aligned. Notes ----- The "total length of the TLV" is incorrect, as in PCEP the TLV formatting is as per RFC 5440 which requires the length to be of the value portion only (https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc5440#section-7.1). Similar mistake was already fixed for different TLV in same RFC as part of: https://www.rfc-editor.org/errata/eid6289 Instructions: ------------- This erratum is currently posted as "Reported". (If it is spam, it will be removed shortly by the RFC Production Center.) Please use "Reply All" to discuss whether it should be verified or rejected. When a decision is reached, the verifying party will log in to change the status and edit the report, if necessary. -------------------------------------- RFC8231 (draft-ietf-pce-stateful-pce-21) -------------------------------------- Title : Path Computation Element Communication Protocol (PCEP) Extensions for Stateful PCE Publication Date : September 2017 Author(s) : E.
