Just to remark that I discussed this option with Uma some time ago. As far as I can tell, the PCEPS draft does not preclude the usage of the fingerprinting mechanisms defined in draft-chunduri-karp-kmp-router-fingerprints, but on the contrary key management can be simplified by combining it with the proposed discovery method...
