just to let any Audacity users on this list, that version 2.1.3 has just been released. For the new features in this release, see this page of the manual: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/new_features_in_this_release.html
Included in these new features is that labels are now easier to use for users of screen readers. Please note that the default shortcut for "play/stop and set cursor" has been changed to the letter X - it was shift + a in previous versions of Audacity. There is a guide to Audacity 2.1.3 which is written for Jaws users, and nearly all of it is also applicable to users of NVDA and Window-Eyes: http://vip.chowo.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/jaws/Audacity-2.1.3-Guide.html For Windows users, a direct link to the new version is: https://www.fosshub.com/Audacity.html/audacity-win-2.1.3.exe Unfortunately for Mac users, the screen reader version of Audacity 2.1.1 remains the recommended version: https://www.fosshub.com/Audacity.html/audacity-macosx- ub-2.1.1-screen-reader.dmg David.
