Hi!
List members will be aware that I purchased both Google Chromecast II
and Google Chromecast Audio9 devices and I'm very happy with both.
What I didn't know was that Airfoile For Windows - at present - doesn't
stream to Chromecast Compatible devices of which there are many now
including some of the latest Televisions and speaker systems.
I wrote to the company who develop Airfoil and they assure me that the
streaming of audio content to Chromecast devices is coming to the
Windows version of airfoil shortly and that day can't come quickly
enough as far as I'm concerned, Chromecasts are incredibly nifty devices.
There is a Chromecast Ultra device available but I felt no need to buy
one of these as its only advantage would appear to be the handling of 4K
HD pictures.
The Chromecast Ultra does have an Ethernet port on the power adapter
which you very well may need if you're planning to use 4K streaming as
some Wi-Fi connections may not have the grunt to power the bandwidth
needed for this type of bandwidth hungry content.
