Well my specific questions are around: book marks, and navigation using

Plenty to be found, Google will bring up a whole heap of stuff.
VLC is a comprehensive player with new features and functions being
added all the time so its probably best you look through a search engine
unless you have any specific questions, we'd be here till well after
Christmas explaining the ins and outs of VLC.
