Which is something strange. The external audio interfaces as the pro cards are called do have Phantum. But ain't that something the PCIE 1s that go in the back of your pc don't? What the heck? I found that very curious indeed.

You can test that out. You would definitely need phantom power for a condenser mic, unless you got a condenser mic that could run on battery as well asphantom power.
