Far from a stupid question, it was answered and just confirmed what I had been told.

I hadn't heard about this player for quite some time and just because its been discontinued doesn't mean the player is any better nor any worse than anything else.

I did consider the purchase of the Victor Reader Stream 2nd generation and the Plextalk Pocket quite some time ago and I was told at the time that the Plextalk ran slower than the VR Stream however the Plextalk had better hardware even though the machine was out of date so to speak.

Anyhow the main point being that if the owner is happy then all well and good but my concern would be - if the unit breaks down as the VR Stream did - just how much is the Plextalk going to cost to have repaired and the problem might very well be compounded given that the Plextalk Pocket has been discontinued for quite some time now, what 5 years?

Andrea, I was asked the same question about the Book port Plus. Evidently
you and I are conjuring some magic or something by obtaining these players
that are supposedly discontinued. Hmmmm...

I have purchased and await delivery of this player.

Is there a list for users of this machine?
