I think they looked at a diagram or something. Which isn't the same as looking at the actual thing and feeling it up. But my Nephew Jonathan said that from the picks he saw meh it's about the same size. So maybe the speaker took the space up or the taptic or what ever you call that vibrator in the new home button. Oh well Se La Vi.

But that would mean the phone would have to be wider at best. Right? AAlso I agree with Shiller time to cut the cord. Cords always tangle especially the cheep spegetty cord like Apple themselves use for the ear pods. Or you could axidentally step on them and break something like I've done to my Bose OE2I head phone kable. Stuff like that.
