It just means my friend that this thing collects loads and loads of sampels of audio and uses 24 bits of them at a time. Or something like that. I've forgotten how to explane sample rate which is what 192 KHZ is. Then there's the bit depth. Which is 24 bit. All it really means in a real practical sence though is that it's full blast HD my friend. Full Blu Ray quality. Too bad this thing's like $800 other wize I too would get 1. But the other down side is that it doesn't talk like the Olympus recorders. So I'd totally be lost. I don't think this even beeps.

So my advice and I don't really know as much as you guys, is go for the Zoom H6 every time. neil is an audio engineer of huge experience and I concur with his assessment regarding this device. I’d be interested to know what the user of the Zoom H6 thinks of his recorder, I have the Zoom H1 and I’ve been using it for the best part of 6 years now. There are some things to be aware of with the Zoom but those things can be easily dealt with if you have a computer and audio editing software. or example the automatic level control doesn’t have quick recovery though this might be ideal for some circumstances. In any case I use manual record level and fix any level problems with Amadeus Pro or something similar.
