Thanks Dean. I don't know why it doesn't work, but I am able to copy discs using imgburn, although it is a two step process of reading then writing, so for now I will use cd burner xp for creating new discs and imgburn for copying. I was using an older version of Nero, which apparently because of a Windows patch stopped working.
Thanks for your help. I didn't put one in, just testing the copying part. It just took a few minutes for it to copy the disc. I don't know why yours is hanging up. I have a windows 7 64 bit PC. I tried that, but got the same results. It is an audio CD which I created with the program. I also tried with a different CD. Have you copied audio CD's with it, as opposed to data CD's? For example it took over 12 minutes to extract 8% before I killed it. Can you suggest what I might be doing wrong. The only thing that I am not sure of is the gap of five seconds between tracks. You can adjust it but I don't know how high. It is free and can be downloaded at: www.ninite.com Even though XP is in the name it willl work with later versions of Windows. Dean -----Original Message----- From: Barry Chapman Sent: Tuesday, December 29, 2015 3:04 AM To: 'PC Audio Discussion List' Subject: CD/DVD burner recommendations wanted Can anyone recommend an easy to use CD/DVD burning program which will do the following: 1. Create audio CD's from MP3 or WAV files. 2. Permit the adjustment of the gap between tracks on an audio CD from 0 to at least 5 seconds. 3. Create data CD's and DVD's. 4. Be able to select the write speed. 5. Verify created CD's and DVD's. 6. Copy CD's and DVD's, specifying the number of copies required. Of course, it must be accessible with JAWS.
