Just downloaded the file my friend. So anyways the thing about the file
splitting. I think and think is a key word here ithink it can do that. Don't
quote me on it since I've not really used one, but again Neal has 1 so he
would know. But yeah man these things are so cool. That's why for recording
at least why I've jumped ship on the blindness stuff. Like the Plextalks.
Don't get me wrong the PTR2 was so epic for it's time, and would should and
could be epic still if the company refreshed it. Remember it's still a 2006
device with silly limitations. My 2004 Pac Mate will axept any compact flash
card you throw at it but not the PTR2. I actually as I think about it wander
now if they are really silly limits at all and then again it could be just
limits of the tech the company was able to Aford to put in the Plextalk.
Remember too they are from Japan. But yeah I still have a PTR1 I don't use
it much since 1 I don't make CDs any more, and 2 don't have a card it will
tolerate.

Hi again Hamit.

That's a good idea. Below is a single track, which was part of my recording
session last Wednesday. It's a local band practice. During recording they
monitored through headphones and were astonished with the quality of what
they were hearing.

I used the stereo X Y capsule with the wooly mic screan.

A sighted friend kindly set up the recording volume to just below 12 db.

In all the session lasted 3 hours and either because one of them stopped the
recording to listen, or the device starts a new file after an hour, I ended
up with 4 files.

I copied them from the device via the usb and listened to them on Winamp.
Although they were clear, the volume was very low. So I edited each in
Goldwave Doubling the volume twice for each file. There was no compression
or limiter on.

So here is the file for you to have some fun with.

Very best wishes.
Andy.
