Hi!

Has anyone tried this yet?

I don't know where its available in the U.S. but I know that its available from Harvey Norman in Australia or through many Internet Service Providers, I've had mine now for over a month.

The system is incredibly versatile allowing the recording of three free-to-air programmes at any one time, you can also download content from other providers such as Netflix, ABC iView in australia and so on.

The other really nice stand-out feature for me at least - apart from full remote control of the system from your mobile device - is the ability to integrate the FetchTV on a network thus you can browse the shows as files that you've recorded using Windows Explorer or similar, how brilliant is that.

I had to look for an alternative to the trusty Windows media Center for recording video, Windows media Center will be no more once I upgrade to Windows 10, I really should have looked at FetchTV earlier given it has far more flexibility and possibilities than Windows Media Center has and FetchTV is also updated on a very regular basis.

For those who wish to continue using their computer as a video recorder from TV then XBMC is still a very viable option, you may have trouble accessing XBMC from your Windows machine but you can access it through the Mobile Apps.
