Greetings, What kind of background noise is it? Hiss? Hum? static? People?
If hum or rumble such as is made by a cassette internal mike picking up the machine's motor, in effect menu and filters, go to low/high pass, enter (say) 70 in cut-off and ensure high pass is selected, leave rest to default and hum should go. I've not really played much with other filters.
