At the price its hard to not want to have one of these handy devices.
Obviously you'd get audio out through the HDMI port but Audio In? Only way I can see of doing this would be with something like an iMic Sound device which plugs into the USB port, only one on this device as you'll see from the linked review.
I can't see why this device wouldn't be okay for audio, even with 23GB of space onboard you could do a fair amount, might be pushing things when it comes to video though.
