Hi there! Play-fi would appear to be a fairly new development, in Australia it seems Play-Fi equipment is very difficult to get at the moment.
Its an interesting concept, an open standard for streaming that supports all the other standards as well. You downloaded the App for your computer you say? Well - unless I didn’t read the articles and reviews correctly - its part of the App to allow Streaming to the Play-Fi speaker, I guess you’ll have to try it for yourself on the weekend and see what happens. I not that there are Android and IOS versions of the Play-Fi App available, I don’t have a Play-Fi device but I’m curious to see what the Play-Fi App actually looks like so go will take a look, not that I’ll be able to gain much from looking but one never knows, often downloading an App tells you a lot about how accessible the App might be, how the equipment designed to work with the App actually functions etc. Its because of an app that I bought my Denot AVR-2113 Surround-Sound receiver, the App had a “Demo” mode so I was able to see an example of how the receiver might function through the App. > On 20 May 2015, at 9:47 pm, Clifford Blackwell <ceblackwe...@gmail.com> wrote: > > I bout a Phorus ps1 because it was only $50 US.
