I received my Panasonic Portable DAB+ radio about an hour ago and have had a
little play with the unit.

I’ve a lot to learn but I do know how to find and select DAB+ stations.

The radio looks as a Panasonic portable typically does, it has a large speaker
on the left hand front and on the right a large display with 4 buttons on a row
at the bottom, I’ve yet to find out what these buttons do but I can say that
the right of the four is a “Select” button.

The metal grill extends over the front of the radio giving the set a nice
quality feel, the plastic shell reminds one of the older types of plastic,
feels nice and solid.

On the right hand side of the radio are 2 dials, the top controls your volume
and the bottom is the scrolling dial, both click when turned which is a help.

So how to select a station? You turn the scroll dial once, that brings up the
list and then turn in any direction up or down to scroll through the stations
and then press select to tune.

Now here is where things get quite complex - well for someone who knows
absolutely nearly nothing about this radio at least -, on the top of the radio
are 12 extra buttons, what do they all do? You’re guess is as good as mine when
it comes to ten of those but I can tell you that there’s a large button with a
raised dot on it, that turns the power on and off, the other large button -
without the dot - is your FM/DAB+ band select button.

The other 10 buttons are in pairs and are smaller.

I’ll give you more details of my adventures with the radio when I’m able to
find out more about how to set preset memories and so on - there are ten of
those for each band which should be enough for most people -.

The radio comes with a proper AC power cord or can run on 4 C Cell batteries.
