Hi again! You You may ask how do small speaker systems such as these manage to sound so good and there’s no denying that they do? Well the answer lies in the Digital Signal Processing used.
The Bose and B&w and pretty much got this down to a fine art and the Logitech UE Boom which has been mentioned is pretty good though there’s a little difference in how the sound is heard, the highs get a bit lost in the mid range and bass but then again, the Logitech UE Boom costs considerably less than its competition in the form of the Bose Soundlink III. Some DSP effects are sensitive to the surrounding environments, take that of the Bose Soundlink Mini which adjusts itself according to how loud the speaker sounds and you can hear the DSP adjusting. > On 30 Nov 2014, at 7:19 am, André van Deventer <andred...@webafrica.org.za> > wrote: > > Hi all > > Perhaps a silly question out of my own ignorance. > > If you choose these kind of portable systems, would the kind of music that > you listen to make a difference? > > Especially for acoustic music including classical music, the volume of the > sound is not that important but the clarity is? > > Andre > > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Pc-audio [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] On Behalf Of Dane > Trethowan > Sent: 29 November 2014 09:24 PM > To: PC Audio Discussion List > Subject: Re: portable speaker to replace my soundlink 3? > > Content preview: Yep replying to this again, I have both Soundlink Mini > and > III.
