Okay, well in that case have a look at the Yamaha MPx-100. Firstly it uses a higher standard of Bluetooth which gives you better audio quality.
Its a better constructed unit than the Jawbone Jambox and is waterproof. The Speakerphone stands out on the MPX-100 and is fully compatible with HD Voice Calls, FaceTime calls and so on though it doesn’t work too well with Skype on an iPhone at this time, I suspect that’s more of a Skype issue more than anything to do with the MPX-100 itself. The unit can also recharge your iPhone’s battery to a point whilst leaving around 60% of charge for its own use. You can connect the MPX-100 to a computer to use as an external sound device, handy for those times when you need a spare speaker for your Notebook and so on. And finally, the MPX-100 has an Aux-in port but what doesn’t? ********** Dane Trethowan grtd...@internode.on.net Skype: grtdane12 Phone US (213) 438-9741 Phone U.K. 01245 79 0598 Phone Australia (03) 9005 8589 Mobile: +61400494862 faceTime +61400494862 Fax +61397437954 Twitter: @grtdane On 17 Oct 2014, at 2:44 am, Michael Amaro <mikeam...@earthlink.net> wrote: > a bit of both > > -------------------------------------------------- > From: "Dane Trethowan" <grtd...@internode.on.net> > Sent: Wednesday, October 15, 2014 7:23 PM > To: "PC Audio Discussion List" <pc-audio@pc-audio.org> > Subject: Re: success! well, some what > >> Yep I certainly can but I need to ask you first, was your primary reason for >> the purchase of the Jawbone Jambox for listening to music or for hands-free >> speaker phone communications or botH? >> >> >> Dane Trethowan's iPhone at +61400494862 has had the privlidge of delivering >> the above eMail to you. >> >> >>> On 16 Oct 2014, at 1:01 pm, Michael Amaro <mikeam...@earthlink.net> wrote: >>> >>> really! can you recommend some? >>> >>> -------------------------------------------------- >>> From: "Dane Trethowan" <grtd...@internode.on.net> >>> Sent: Tuesday, October 14, 2014 10:55 AM >>> To: "PC Audio Discussion List" <pc-audio@pc-audio.org> >>> Subject: Re: success! well, some what >>> >>>> I had the same trouble as described with my Jambox and I never was able to >>>> fix it. >>>> >>>> That's one of the many reasons why I'd never recommend anyone buy one of >>>> those damn things. >>>> >>>> I appreciate that you spent your hard earned money on this product, >>>> they're not cheap and you can certainly buy better and cheaper products. >>>> >>>> >>>>> On 14 Oct 2014, at 11:23 pm, Alexandra Grünauer <al.gruena...@gmx.de> >>>>> wrote: >>>>> >>>>> I haven't got one, But isn't it possible with the JamBox to monitor or >>>>> control it with the computer and can't you change the settings through >>>>> there? >>>>> >>>>> >>>>> >>>>>> -----Original Message----- >>>>>> From: Pc-audio [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] On Behalf Of >>>>>> Michael Amaro >>>>>> Sent: Tuesday, October 14, 2014 8:07 AM >>>>>> To: pc-audio@pc-audio.org >>>>>> Subject: success! well, some what >>>>>> >>>>>> Hello, >>>>>> Listers, >>>>>> >>>>>> I managed to put the jambox speaker in stereo via bluetooth.
