This sounds impressive. However, my brother and I were talking about the
soundbars we were discussing. He has one, but he said that soundbars aren't
that good, because he feels that they are nothing more than entry level.
This is just his opinion. I've considered, but I haven't bought one yet.

Dain, if I may. I too have heard these. My Sister Johanna has the Soundlink
3 and has lent it to me a few times. It is epic!
The Mini is too for what it is. One thing I will say is this. The 3 has
better and more frequency response. Godzilla 1998 wistles when it roars, you
hear this wistle from it's tornado blast roar on the 3 better then the mini.
The mini does have the same amount of bass though which surprised me. You
are correct about the speaker placement thing too. This is because the Mini
is meant more as a personal system that's in front of you VS a party thing
like the 3. This from Bose directly. I asked them because I couldn't
understand the difference in price. BTW, did they do away with the SoundLink
Air? I can't find it any more. I wanted to see how it worked if at all with
none air stuff.

Subject: Bose This And That
Hi!
I've been away from the list for some weeks so I don't know whether the Bose
Soundlink III or Soundlink Mini devices have been mentioned here, I have
both of these and will give a summary of each with notes where appropriate.
The Soundlink Mini is a Bluetooth speaker about the size of a Jawbone
Jambox.
The Mini is of good build and ways 1.6 pounds so its heavy for its size.
Playing time is about 7 hours from a full charge of the internal
rechargeable battery .
Controls are simple, from left to right on the top is the Power, Mute,
volume down, Up, Bluetooth and Aux bottons which are rubber buttons though
they press down on switches inside the unit thus aren't affected by grease
or moisture.
So how does it sound? Damn impressive for its size and - in my view - the
Bose Soundlink Mini is the best sounding Bluetooth speaker I've heard in its
class so given all that I would dispose of your Jawbone Jambox very
willingly as the Soundlink Mini blows it away and I ought to know as I was
foolish enough to buy a Jambox but that's been discussed before and perhaps
we can discuss it again at another time <smile>.
The Soundlink III is another Bluetooth speaker system from Bose, its the
Mini's Big Brother.
The first question I've been asked by those is how does the Soundlink III
sound compared to the Soundlink Mini?Comparing these 2 systems is a bit
difficult given that one is considerably bigger than the other.
I can tell you that the Soundlink Mini is a directional device meaning the
best position for listening to it is pretty much in front of it.
The Soundlink Mini seems to perform very well if you're a reasonable
distance from it, the Soundlink III has no trouble whatever in making a name
for itself at your Saturday night party whereas the Soundlink Mini would
struggle with this task.
Controls on the Soundlink III are the same as those on the Mini however some
markings have been added to make the controls easily identifiable, a small
dot is placed on the lower edge of the Bluetooth and Volume Down buttons
whilst each control is enclosed between raised vertical lines.
The Soundlink III has a battery life of around 14 hours, by far the most
I've seen from a very good sounding portable Bluetooth Speaker system.
One of my favourite portable Bluetooth Speakers up until the Soundlink III
came along was the Logitech UE Boombox which isn't disgraced by the
Soundlink III but is left behind sounding like Yesterday's product.
Both Bose Soundlink III and Mini do not come with covers or carrying cases,
these are available as optional extras.
