The system described here is both the most complete and flexible Media Center I've used.
I'll be writing a review on the system shortly as I have some exploring to do to get access to some of the features so here's a summary of what I've found thus far. The system is a stereo unit which looks much like a Boombox but thinner. Sound is very good with the unit offering Digital Amplifiers at 20 Watts RMS for each channel. Connectivity options would seem endless when you look at what's available on the system. • Bluetooth Connectivity • AirPlay and DLNA compatible • USB port which will handle files in most audio formats including FLAC, AAC, MP3 etc. • Line-In jack •Internet radio • FM Tuner • Music Server • Compatible with Pioneer Remote Controller Apps for IOS and Android •Able to handle music services such as Spotify and Pandora •Built-in iPhone dock Its unfortunate that Pioneer Didn't include DAB+ but perhaps its easier to market something like this world wide without DAB+. The XW-SMC4 can be connected to your Network either using Wi-Fi or LAN, unfortunately I'm going to require a little sighted assistance to set up the Wi-Fi connection but I was able to connect to the network using the LAN port and update the firmware without any issues, the system has a HTML Web Interface. I'll keep you all informed of my progress ********** Dane Trethowan Skype: grtdane12 Phone US (213) 438-9741 Phone U.K. 01245 79 0598 Phone Australia (03) 9005 8589 Mobile: +61400494862 faceTime +61400494862 Fax +61397437954 Twitter: @grtdane
