Which probably tells us that 3CR is a nickel and dime operation and they may still be using 4 8 6 machines.
Cool Edit became Adobe Audition which a lot of broadcasters found too inconvenient. A lot of stations moved to using Macs or moved to Audacity under Windows because of its multi-tracking and range of plug ins. A lot of broadcasters are now using I Pads for studio automation and audio production. One IOS program which seems to be favoured by broadcasters and voice over artists is TwistedWave which, surprisingly, is much more accessible than Garage Band or some of the other audio editors under IOS.
