Hi all, I just googled it again and found out that the program I was referring to isn't by gracenote. The other facts that I described are still valid, as you can read on the homepage.
The url for information and download is: http://www.vuplayer.com/player.php The program is free and, although not stated on the homepage, runs perfectly well on my windows 7 64 bit machines.
