with ninite all you have to do is download the installer for it and run it. we're kind of leaving the topic of audio here so i won't say more than that. but ninite is very easy to use. check the box for the program you want, press the get installer button and on the next page will be a link to download your ninite installer for all the programs you've selected. it can be just one program, or even 2 or 3 or as many as are on there. and even better is that if there's a new version available you ccan just run your ninite installer and it'll grab the latest version for you automaticly. no more hunting around for download links. Ok, like I say this is drifting off-topic here so I'll not say anymore on that.

I've heard of 7 Zip; I tried to get it from that Ninite site. However I am
finding no link to download it, so am obviously missing something there!

If you have 7zip, which is free, it'll open .rar files.

a Rar is probably a compressed archive. It's an alternative to the .zip
algorithm. Get the Winrar programme mentioned in the post above to
uncompress/extract .rar files.

Hi all,

How does one open and install one on your Windows PC?

Do I need a third party program?

Thanks,

John
