Okay, 2 things. Firstly you might like to download the manual for the unit from the Yamaha site, Yamaha have gone out of their way to make their manuals available.
Secondly, find out what the App is, download it to your device and see how accessible the App appears to be, perhaps the App also has a "Demo Mode" as the Denon Remote App does, in which case you can get a feel for the accessibility of the App before you buy the product. And finally, perhaps this receiver has a HTML Interface?
