Again, I think this might be a Screen Reader thing, there's a list of shortcuts available so type VLC Shortcuts into Google and you should get the appropriate page.
As I recall with the Windows version, ctrl-up and down move the volume, I remember that much <smile> and the usual types of navigation and manipulation of tracks are available. Regarding the Interface? I think that can be changed so perhaps that might give better access, really should got the Windows machine out again and have a play to refresh my memory.
