Now am I wrong?  Or am I right in bthinking that if you use the standard
version of Total Recorder (which I do) you _cannnot_ record and have Jaws
speak anything?

I'm not sure what you mean, its easy with the latest version. You just
choose the default options in the instal, then it will be fine when
you select software or soundboard. Don't change the software driver
dearing instal as that may confuse you. The latest total recorder is
version 8.5 and the pro is the best ever. Goodluck and feel free to
ask if you get stuck.
