As the review pretty much states, they're not designed for music. 40 feet is a pretty good range so that wouldn't worry me all that much. This headset is only $70 here so its not as though its a really expensive piece of equipment. Not particularly good for music by the sounds of things but for $70 I wouldn't expect it to be, perfectly acceptable for Skype chatting which is really all I want it for and - if the Audio 995 does the job as well as my Audio 478 - I couldn't be happier, I'll know all this time next week for sure!
