If you look in add/remove software under control panel you will  see 3
programs that mention apple.  Remove all three of them plus itunes and
restart your computer and then download itunes from apple website and
reinstall it.  All should work correctly after that.  I did this  today and
now have a working Itunes

How would I know what software I have from Apple? I know I had QuickTime and

Itune and uninstalled both of them but still getting the error message. I 
use Iphone, does that mean I might have something else other than Quick and 
Itune?
