Yes you can. I don't have iTunes myself, but I've been to sites that have
links to listen to streams that are marked iTunes and (often) Winamp, both
mentioned for the same stream. For example, you can set your Shoutcast
streams to play in iTunes. Sometimes they're mentioned in separate links,
but it's the same address. For instance, The Legend Oldies has a link to
listen in Winamp and another for iTunes, but they're the same stream. I know
because when I click on the link to play the iTunes stream, it plays in
Winamp, and the bookmark is the same address.

You're right, but I'm just wondering if you can use ITunes to listen to
streams, like you do with Winamp.

So in other words - if Winamp ceases to exist - its much ado about
nothing given there are alternatives out there.
And by the way the software is called iTunes and not iTunes player.

Maybe that's also why I mentioned the ITunes player, because I don't
know how accessible it is. People mention Fubar, but I've never tried
it, so I don't know how accessible it is compared to Winamp. Maybe the
reason are hooked on Winamp, is because of the Winamp keystrokes that
people find accessible.

Windows Media is pretty accessible. However it still won't allow one
to do
things like going to a specific point in a file, just by typing in a
command
as Winamp does!

I hope you enjoy it.
I also forgot to mention Windows Media Player, there are a few little
things
I don't like about it such as it not having support from FLAC audio for
some
strange reason but the software is very accessible.

Dane, you mentioned about the ITunes media plakyer, but can you access
music content on the web with that as a media player? I don't use
ITunes
yet, but may soon.
