Hi!

Received this in the mail about an hour ago and I can't speak highly enough of
this portable, if good quality audio in a portable is what you're after then
take a look - or should that be take a listen - to the Tivoli iPal radio.

The radio doesn't have any bells and whistles to sell to you, just 3 controls
on the front - on/off/am/fm selector, tuning and volume are presented on the
front with a 2.5 inch speaker below.

On the back are sockets for stereo headphones, an aux-in jack and the power
supply input.

Don't let the very basic deceive you however, the sound out of that mono 2.5
inch speaker has to be heard to be believed.

The AM band has reasonable sensitivity and should cope in most listening
situations, the sensitivity level didn't come as a surprise to me as the band
width on Am is rather wide thus the better quality audio so if you know any
good sounding radio stations then this radio will provide the enjoyable sound
you've possibly been missing.

FM is excellent both for good quality audio sound and sensitivity.

The iPal is a blast! through headphones, possibly one of the best portable
units I've heard through headphones, highs on the AM band are clear and the FM
band sounds like a good quality Hi-Fi tuner.

The iPal has an internal rechargeable battery which will give you 17 hours of
listening, that's pretty good given how the radio sounds and how loud it can go.

The iPal measures around 4 inches high by about 3 wide so its perfect as a
bedside radio.

Rubber flaps cover the sockets on the back making the radio weather proof for
those outdoor excursions.
