Hello Joe. Perhaps the USB port on your stream has failed. You could
purchase a card reader and download your books onto your storage card.
Otherwise, you may have to send your stream in for repair or even purchase a
new one depending on the repair costs. I'm sorry that this has happened to
you. Unfortunately, these devices don't last indefinitely.

Subject: victor reader stream question

hello friends, i have never had any problems with my victor reader stream
which i've had for over three years and use regularly to read my audio
books, but the day before yesterday i tried plugging it in to my laptop, and
the laptop couldn't find it, i changed USB cables, but still no joy i tried
yet another USB cable, without success, it still wasn't recognising the
victor reader stream, in desperation i switched to my desktop, still no
luck, i tried taking the battery out and putting it in again, zilch, the
reader stream is fully charged, i have lotsof space left on it, with only
one book waiting to be read, i'm totally perplexed, i'm an avid reader, and
dread the thought of being without my reader, can anyone suggest something
that will solve this problem for me, any help will be really appreciated,
god bless, take care, travel safely, joe bollard, the republic of ireland.
