I don't have a bocket, but as for a good mike, if $300 aint much for you,
well there's the Audio Technica AT8022 one. It's a
 Pro mike. Check out ther page for stereo mikes they have some consumer ones
too. One I really liked on the consumer end was the Pro 24. It haxs a button
battery, and it can use pluggin power too.
