Hi André,

You can use any recorder that has a multitracking capacities since you can use
the universal technique to all of them. Playing the karaoke from e.g. WinAmp or
anything singing along with that recording it in a single track on the mike and
then mix it simply to the karaoke track e.g. Sound Forge got discussed here a
few days back so here you hit ctrl+m, choose normal mix no fades option and
there you go. The only difficulty you may encounter is the time when to start
putting your voice track from not to have it delaied or vice versa but
musicians will certainly find a workaround e.g. on the first bar by the audio
itself etc.

Have a nice day I bet you sing way much better than me in the shower howling
worse than Ginsberg:D. I just play the piano as I've studied conservatory here
so great to learn there're some musicians around here:).

Predmet: recording your own voice with a backing or karaoke track

  Hi all

In the mood for some fooling around!

What would be the cheapest way to record myself singing along with a karaoke
  or backing track?

  Regards

  Andre
