Greetings, an update to my last post.
I copied the original and modified keyboards from this laptop to my upstairs desktop. I already had GoldWave v5.67 open there. I decided to go into options, keyboard, load and hit space bar, I pointed at the modified file, then to open, then closed the dialogue, then thought I would try opening a new file. I discoveref by pressing 1 on the qwerty keyboard, recording commenced, 2 paused and 3 stopped the recording. So, it seems there is really no need to exit and re-enter the program to activate the keyboard when modified. Maybe I was being over-courtious.
