Hi,
The .ts format is the transport stream. If you record standard
definition content, just rename the file as mpg and it should work. To
analize what video and audio formats a .ts file contains, use mediainfo.
I usually don't convert ts because I don't want to lose video quality,
but to do that probably the software freevideo converter can do the job,
or in alternative you can use auto mkv.
