I have been using Audacity 1.3 beta. Are there any advantages in upgrading to 2.0? Also, the noise reduction effect in Audacity appears to be far superior to that in Goldwave, which I used up until a few years ago. Is this accurate or just an isolated event? For example, I successfully eliminated virtually all of the background noise from a recording without affecting the quality of the voice.
