Whether the below problem is a Winamp configuration issue is something I
hope list members will assist me to ascertain.
I have set Winamp as my default audio player and play all audio files
with Winamp except for Windows media files. The problem I am attempting
to solve is that the volume level on any audio file played in Winamp is
significantly lower than it is if I play it in any other player,
specifically windows media player. This is true regardless of the fact
that the Winamp volume is set to 100 per cent. I realize that I could
lower the output volume in Windows media player, but I prefer to use
Winamp especially for mp3 files.
I have examined the Winamp equalizer settings and see nothing to change
to raise the output volume. Incidentally, this machine is a Windows 7
64-bit desktop. Thhis problem is not present on my other machines which
are running XP home.
